Upstream
Oil & Gas
Foster Wheeler has been
actively involved in the upstream oil and gas industry since the 1930s and
has successfully engineered some of the world’s largest oil and gas projects.
Onshore or offshore, from wellhead through to the export terminal, our track
record demonstrates consistent delivery of the safety, cost, schedule and
quality performance that our clients expect.
In the past three years alone we have engineered and managed projects with
a total capacity exceeding eight billion standard cubic feet of gas per day
- an achievement of which we are immensely proud.
LNG
& Gas-to-Liquids
We bring our wide expertise
across a number of technologies to deliver total gas monetization solutions,
integrating individual gas processing elements into a cost-effective whole.
We have consistently demonstrated the quality of our technical and project
management expertise using established or emerging technologies.
We established a new benchmark for LNG liquefaction plants when we completed
the Oman LNG project, and delivered a world-class FEED for Sasol/QP’s
Oryx GTL plant in Qatar, the first of a new generation of GTL plants.
Refining
Our unrivalled technical
expertise and experience in refining make us the world’s leading refinery
contractor. This is reflected in our long-term alliances and service agreements
with many of the industry’s leading companies. We understand the challenges
facing refiners: pressure on margins, limited capital available to meet increasingly
stringent product specification and plant emission legislation, and changing
product demand. We have leading-edge technologies in bottom-of-the-barrel
processing and hydrogen production.

& Petrochemicals
Foster Wheeler has over
60 years’ experience in the chemicals and petrochemicals industry. With
a reputation for quality, technical expertise and world-class project management,
we are playing a key role in the development of a number of world-scale grassroots
complexes currently underway in the Middle East and China.
Our expertise includes aromatics, fiber intermediates such as PTA and PET
and a wide range of polymers. Our team has experience in state-of-the-art
technologies and provides a completely objective view of what is available.
