Yacht Club
Foster Wheeler has a highly
active sailing club, who organise a full and varied season of events, ranging
from weekends cruising on the nearby Solent, to cruising holidays in the Caribbean.
The Club also enters crews into many corporate regattas, including the Engineering
Challenge Cup and the Industry Sailing Challenge.
The club is open
to all FW employees, novices through to ocean yachtmasters, and also offers
subsidised training for those members wishing to pursue RYA skipper qualifications.
We also encourage good “galley slaves” too!
For a slower pace
of life, the club also arranges weekends cruising on narrowboats on the many
canals in and around Reading. However, the manual locks can test the toughest
of winchmen!
