HVAC Engineer

	Education	Bachelor degree in related disciplines
	Experience	6-10 years design experience, experience in clean room and commissioning is preferred
	Duties	1. Execute work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures and Standards. 2. Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Civil Engineering and/or Design activities if necessary. 3. Responsible for administration and immediate direction of civil engineering and design on a project. 4. Participate in design and checking work as required. 5. Ensure that quality of design and drawings produced for enquiry and construction purposes on projects are of the specified standard. 6. Prepare requisitions for sub-contracts and procurement of materials. Issue material requisitions for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions. Review Subcontractor's and Supplier's quotations, participate in clarification meetings, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Subcontractor. 7. Hold co-ordination meetings with the Construction Department during the design phase and provide assistance to site when requested during the construction phase of a project. 8. Carry out the following functions relative to Subcontractors documentation: - Review document requirements and issue dates for major items with subcontractors at the pre-ward meeting. - Distribute Supplier documentation to the various Engineering and Drawing Office Groups and co-ordinate their comments. Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Supplier - Correspond with the Contractor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary. 9. Liaise with other Group and Client as necessary 10. Advise the Principal Building Service Engineer Structure of: - Any major slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action. - All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups. 11. Review relevant project design work and in particular: - Engineering Flow Diagrams - Piping Layouts and Model. - Instrument and Electrical Layout drawings. - Civil layouts.
