  Lead Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

  Duties - The coordination of the project team taking care of the technical and organization problems. - Ensuring the compliance with contract requirements, the implementation of the established procedures and quality controls. - Ensuring that the engineering (drafting & design activities) is carried out within the established time schedule and the budget of manhours allocated for the project and keeping the Discipline Head fully informed. - The sharing of the activities among the Specialty Engineers and ensuring that proper information are available at any stage of the work. - The proper authorization for any exception or modifications to the established procedures or to contract requirements. - The approval in accordance to the established procedures of the documents (material and subcontract requisition, specification, etc.) produced by the Specialty Engineers. - Allow Discipline Head to review critical design and drafting deliverables. - Attend pre-bid and clarification meetings. - Prepare technical bid evaluation. - Review with the Project Engineering Manager all the needs and technical aspects of the project. - Control of all the information and ensuring their adequacy and timely availability for a proper engineering work in compliance with schedules. - Discussing with the Client Representatives technical problems which might arise during the project development. - Perform coordination with Professional Engineers (PE) and Qualified Persons (QP) involved in the project. - Keeping Contract documents and correspondence filed in accordance to the established filing procedure. - Remind all members of the project team to observe the ethics of confidentiality on technologies licensed by Clients or Third Parties. - Checking of design calculations of special items. - Supervision and review of subcontracted engineering services execution, in accordance to Civil Discipline Guidelines. - Preparation of Monthly Engineering Progress Report and review the Monthly Drafting Progress Report. - Review on weekly basis, the design and drafting works of the contract. - Ensure that all relevant Client Advice Notes (CAN), Project Advice Notes (PAN) and Discipline Design Instructions (DI) are taken cared of in the preparation and issuance of all design and drafting deliverables. - Control and record all changes by issuing Change Flags and maintenance of Change Flag Register. - Control and record all issued Design Instruction and maintenance of DI register. - Control the issuance of Advance Revision Notes (ARN) and maintenance of ARN register. - Record all lessons learned in the execution of the design and drafting activities within the project. - Assistance to Contract, Estimating and Planning Disciplines. - Ensuring uniformity of project also in connection with other disciplines. - Checking the time sheet of all Specialty Engineers, Designers and Draftsmen under him and monitoring of the manhours spent for the project. - The P.S. Leader will also perform the duties of Specialty Engineers. - Archiving of the project documents at the end of the project in accordance with established project documents archiving procedures. - When nominated by the Discipline Head, the P.S. Leader will act as Quality Assurance Correspondent checking and/or approving documents as requested in the Project Execution Plan through the implementation of proper check lists. - Identifying possible Non-Conformities in accordance to the Quality Assurance System Procedure both for System and on Contract. - Suggesting the Corrective Actions in accordance to the Quality Assurance System Procedure both for System and on Contract.
